WHAT IS WORK RELEASE?

The Stutsman County Correctional Center (SCCC) work release (WR) program offers judges an alternative placement option for sentencing.  It allows inmates to maintain employment and provide for their families.  In a balance between public safety and the need for the inmate to work, there are strict requirements for participation in the work release program.

Participation in the work release program is a privilege and the SCCC retains the right to terminate or deny program participants.
