The court system for our region and Stutsman County includes District Court, Juvenile Court, and Municipal Court (City of Jamestown).
The Stutsman County Courthouse is home to the Southeast Judicial District Court as well as Juvenile Court. District Court is located on the 2nd floor while Juvenile Court is located in the basement.
Parking is available in front of the Courthouse and there is a handicapped accessible elevator.
Please note that while attending court, all electronic devices including cell phones must be turned off. In addition, purses, backpacks, hats or caps, and food or drink are not allowed.
The Stutsman County Law Enforcement Center houses Municipal Court for the City of Jamestown and is located on the 1st floor next to the Sheriff’s Office and City of Jamestown Police Department. You can enter through the main doors of the Law Enforcement Center to reach the lobby. Please note that the previous entrance on the east side of the Law Enforcement Center is no longer available.
Jamestown Municipal Court is responsible for cases which include Class B misdemeanor offenses, infractions, non-criminal traffic offenses, and other non-criminal offenses.
