December 23rd, 2021 – The Stutsman County Commission will be accepting nominations to the following Boards listed below. Interested parties should submit an “Application for Appointment” to the County Auditor’s Office by 5:00 p.m., January 3rd, 2022. Appointments to the respective boards will be made January 4th, 2022, with the official term commencing immediately. Visit our ‘Get Involved’ page for more information.

December 13th, 2021 – The 2021 Real Estate taxes for Stutsman County were mailed on Friday, December 10th, 2021. These taxes can be paid through February 15, 2022 with the discount applied. Tax payments can be made in person at the Treasurer’s Office, by check through the mail, or dropped off in the secure drop box in the lobby of the Courthouse at 511 2nd Ave SE in Jamestown. Please make sure to include both the check and payment stub inside the envelope. Receipts will be automatically mailed out to anyone utilizing the drop box, unless you make a note specifying otherwise.
If residents intend to make payments in person at the Courthouse, we encourage them to bring statements and/or parcel numbers with them to ensure efficiency and to avoid wait times. Our office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We are also open over the Noon lunch hour.
Residents may also pay by e-check, debit card, or credit card on our website at www.stutsmancounty.gov. On the main home page, look for the option under ‘Quick Links’ titled ‘Pay Property Taxes’. A convenience fee of 2.65% (minimum of $3.00) will apply to credit and debit card payments made online. There is a $1.50 fee for e-Checks.

November 23rd, 2021 – Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Stutsman County, North Dakota, will meet on December 7, 2021, beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Stutsman County Courthouse, 511 2nd Avenue SE, Jamestown, North Dakota, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a proposal that the County issue revenue refunding bonds under the Municipal Industrial Development Act of 1955, Chapter 40-57, N.D.C.C., in order to refinance the project described below.
The project consists of a 2,000-seat athletic arena, attached training center and functionally related facilities located at 1104 University Drive, Jamestown, North Dakota. The Project is owned and operated by the University of Jamestown, a North Dakota nonprofit corporation. The amount of the proposed bond issue is not to exceed $3,750,000. Proceeds of the Bonds will be used to refinance the County’s University Facilities Revenue Bonds (University of Jamestown Project), Series 2016A which were issued to finance a portion of the Project.
