Employee Benefits
Annual Leave
Employees will see increases in leave accrual as years of service milestones are reached.
- 0-3 Years of Service – Earns 1 Day (8 Hours) per Month
- 4-7 Years of Service – Earns 1 ¼ Days (10 Hours) per Month
- 8-12 Years of Service – Earns 1 ½ Days (12 Hours) per Month
- 13-18 Years of Service – Earns 1 ¾ Days (14 Hours) per Month
- 18+ Years of Service – Earns 2 Days (16 Hours) per Month
Sick Leave
8 hours per month with no maximum accumulation. Upon completion of 10 years of service, employees shall be eligible to receive 10% of their sick leave balance.
Bereavement Leave
Up to three days for the funeral of immediate family member.
Blue Cross Blue Shield of ND
- $48.04 per month for a Single plan for a Full-Time person.
- $348.36 per month for a Family plan for a Full-Time person.
The BCBSND Plan premium shall be prorated based on an employee’s full-time equivalent status (FTE).
Vision, Dental, Flex and Supplemental Benefits
The employee pays for this through payroll deduction. Vision and Dental are offered through MetLife. Stutsman County pays $18.12 towards the employee’s dental plan. Section 125 benefits offered thru MetLife and Aflac. Section 457 Deferred Compensation Plan available.
Defined Contribution – Stutsman County pays 9.26% and the employee has the option to contribute an additional 1.00%, 2.00%, or 3.00% based on regular gross wages with a corresponding match from the employer.
Main Plan – Stutsman County pays 13.26% and the employee pays 3% of employee’s retirement based on regular gross wages.
Public Safety Plan (LPO, LPC, Dispatch) – Stutsman County pays 13.26% and the employee pays 4.78% of employee’s retirement based on regular gross wages.
EAP services are provided for employees and eligible family members through the Village Business Institute and Bree Health.
